CUPE Library Workers are not Collecting Library Fees or Fines

Bring back your overdue items and enjoy the public library

Now is a good time to visit the Regina Public Library and return your overdue library materials.

CUPE library workers are not collecting library fees or fines on overdue materials, as part of their strike for a fair agreement. As well, library patrons will not be prevented from borrowing because of fines or fees.

The more than 180 CUPE members at the library have been seeking a fair agreement for nearly 29 months.

Library workers walked off the job yesterday and held a rally and study session. Today, they returned to work and implemented a ban on the collection of fines and fees.
